about me.

“My favorite ‘therapy moment’ is when you realize there is nothing wrong with you.

Are you stuck? Yes.

Uncomfortable? Hell yes.

But, defective?

Absolutely not.”

I have over a decade of experience working in a variety of mental health settings all over the U.S. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in multiple states, and received my Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis with a concentration in Mental Health as well as a specialization certificate in Sexual Health and Education. I have also trained with Gestalt Associates Training, Los Angeles in the U.S. as well as Portual, Ireland, and Poland. In addition to formal education and training, I believe creativity is the key to keeping counseling exciting and fresh. Therefore, you will find that my work as a therapist is also informed by art-making, literature and music.

Some common concerns I treat are anxiety, depression, relationship problems, substance abuse, concerns related to sexuality and body-image issues. However, a lot of these issues show up as “phase-of-life” concerns such as aging, starting a family, developing a career, death of a loved one, divorce, etc. We know that living entails difficulty, but we can feel woefully underprepared to deal with it all. You and I may be a good therapeutic fit if you are:

  • creative, introspective, and/or entrepreneurial

  • feeling under-confident about the future (even though you are often over-prepared)

  • often worry about what others think of you (even though you are generally nonjudgmental of others)

  • struggle with indecisiveness and feeling incompetent (even though you are incredibly skilled and resourceful).

For whatever reason, some of us simply did not receive enough reliable reflections early in life to foster an accurate sense of self. That’s where I come in! It’ s my job to give you a confidential and safe space to process your experiences, experiment with new methods, and receive support so you can realize your inherent worth and power. I specialize in helping people come home to themselves - live more authentically, with less worry. Nothing compares to being comfortable in your own skin, owning your choices, and getting clear about what you want from relationships.
